Miranda Brooks’ Apartment as Featured in Vogue

Dan’s sister and brother-in-law get the best mail.  Seriously. Magazine upon catalog upon magazine seem to arrive on a daily basis.  The first thing I do ever time I visit their house is scan the living room for new literature.  Last time I visited, I spent some quality time with the latest issue of Vogue.  While I love looking at fashion, my heart belongs to the interior design pages.  Their latest feature literally made my heart skip a beat.  Let me show you why.

And I was wrong.  It’s the Brooklyn home of Miranda Brooks (landscape designer and Vogue conributing editor) and Bastien Hallard (architect) and, of course, their two adorable daughters with equally adorable names, Poppy and Violette Grey.  When the family made the move from Manhattan to Brooklyn, Hallard decided to “just pretend we’re moving to the country.”  The result is this unbelievable, whimsical oasis. I can’t even begin to fathom what a real country house would look like.
