Instagram Excursions: The Ramp
Last weekend, I was up in Kennebunkport, Maine with Jessie to attend the opening of her mom’s beautiful art show at Mast Cove Galleries. Take a few minutes to check out Sally’s work here. Before the show, the girls all took a little jaunt that included Wal-Mart pedicures and a delicious lunch at The Ramp in Cape Porpoise. I’ll let you figure out which one was the highlight.
After driving down some twisty roads and a few wrong turns through neighborhoods, we emerged onto a rocky point with a boat ramp, a parking area, and a couple places to eat. The Ramp is a teensy little place tucked down behind the larger Pier 77 Restaurant and is one of those places that makes you feel like you must be in the know to have found your way there.
If you’ve been following Jessie and I on intsagram (@jfish28, @kateamccusker) you may have seen our dueling instagrams on the subject.
They have the most adorable postage stamp sized waiting area with crushed shells underfoot, adirondack chairs, a beautiful view of the harbor, and nautical accessories covering every wall.
On top of all that, the staff was so nice and the food was just scrumptious. I would have taken more pictures if I wasn’t so busy inhaling it all. Seriously. Conor is still jealous of the crab cakes he missed out on.
I’m headed back up to Maine tomorrow (Portland this time) for a dear friend’s wedding and I can’t wait. Kristen, Jessie, and I are trying to eek out the last bits of summer on top of visiting family, getting over colds, and moving houses so I hope you’ll forgive us if our posting is a little spotty here and there. Summer is too short to waste it! Hope you all are off doing wonderful things as well. As much as I love the fall, I really want to savor the end of this season.
