Instagram Weekend: Refresh your Feed
Happy Friday!
I don’t know about you, but our Instagram Challenge made me even more addicted to Instagram. I suppose it’s apropos that Facebook recently acquired the filter-happy app at the same time I realized I prefer it as a social media platform over the ‘book.
I was getting restless waiting for new material to show up (i.e. refreshing it every 10 minutes) so I have turned my feed into my own juried gallery by following some prolific design-y types. If you’re looking to spruce up your feed, I might suggest you follow in the footsteps of these fine folks.
@emmadime (Emma Robertson) takes some lovely photos of her seemingly endlessly entertaining life. She’s a graphic designer, is the owner of Our Paper Shop and (AND!) writes a beautifully visual blog, Emmadime.
@creaturecomforts (Ez Pudewa) has quickly become a mainstay for my feed with her gorgeous color palettes and spot-on composition. Although you won’t always find her Instagram photos directly on her blog, Creature Comforts, there still seems to be a parallel that makes me feel like I can get small doses of inspiration on the go.
@annariflebond (Anna Bond) is the owner of Rifle Paper Co., where she creates adorable hand-painted designs for stationery, calendars and other paper goods. I am a huge fan of her work and therefore appreciate that it dominates most of her Instagram material. I like to see what she’s working on – it’s like having front row seats inside her studio.
Also, a few honorable mentions you might want to check out:
@_frommetoyou is Jamie, a photographer in NYC who writes the fashion photography blog (with a pretty layout) From Me To You. She has an annoyingly high amount of followers, which I normally avoid, but she takes nicely composed, highly saturated photos of nice textures, what can I say?
@edroste is Ed Droste, the lead singer of Grizzly Bear, whom I happen to lurve. He does mostly landscape photography in amazing locations throughout the world. One day, it’s Vietnam, the next it’s Amsterdam.
Do you follow anyone noteworthy? Who am I missing out on?

Really inspiring post, these instagram shots are beautiful, I’m still getting used to using it but I can tell it’s getting addictive already….
Thank you! Let us know if you come across some interesting people to follow!
