In Bloom: Peonies
Have you noticed that we’re right in the heart of peony season? I feel like everywhere I turn lately, I see their magnificent blooms and I couldn’t be happier about it. I love the way they get so giant that it almost comes as a surprise to themselves given that their slender stems can hardly bear the weight of their many-layered heads. Or is it the weight of the intoxicating perfume bottled up inside? No more talking…just looking.

Another advantage of having a car: My mom sent me home with peonies from her garden last weekend. They make me so happy.
