Project Inspiration: Anthropologie Chandelier

I’ve had these pictures rolling around in my phone for a while and I keep meaning to share them. On a recent trip to check out Anthropologie’s new Boston location on Newbury Street, I spotted this chandelier hanging in their housewares section. I’ve been an Anthro fan for a long time. Even when my bank account isn’t cooperating, I love going in for visual inspiration. Can you tell what it’s made out of?

Plastic zip ties!
Like usual, I was blown away by their visual stylists’ abilities to take everyday objects and use them in a beautiful and unexpected way. It was difficult to tell what the inner workings of this light fixture was all about without running the risk of knocking everything off of the table underneath while juggling my bag, phone, and winter coat. After a little brainstorming, I think you could head to the hardware store and recreate this look with some really inexpensive components:
Interior/Exterior Gloss Spray Paint, $3.47
8 in. Cable Ties (1,000-Pack), $20
54 in. Tomato Cage, $3.78
Aluminum Vent Mesh $14.67

This is such a great post – I love how you just figured out what to use and how to make it!
Thanks pal! It was really impressive in person. I’ve got to get you there when you get back down to Boston.
I love this too, Kate! Nice work. Anthropologie always has the best displays!
Love this! Saw great lights on HGTV made out of light pull chains recently in a really high end house. Ann
