Instagram Weekend: Gulf Coast Vacation

Since I’m from New England, when I say I spend Christmas with my family in Florida, people almost always look at me with a sense of pity. “It must be so weird,” they say. Although there is no snow or whiffs of evergreen trees, I don’t see anything weird about spending sunny days on the boat, indulging in the freshest seafood, the smell of Coppertone and  the feel of my toes in sand the consistency of confectioner’s sugar. Take that, Santa.
